Can you hear me? ...Dang machine never works when I want it to work. Wait... I think it's going through? Aha! Hello again!

Welcome to another Dev Message! How's everybody been doing? Eh, don't answer that, can't hear anyone from my end anyways. Well, not like anyone would respond in the first place. My voice definitely can't be heard. Errr. Moving on.


I wanted to leave another update! Once a month just like I promised. Today I've attached some gameplay of the new battle UI in action! Along with some use of the new quick reaction/rythm system that we'll be using. It's pretty neat right? It makes the player a lot more powerful, so I think it will be fun. I'm going to experiment to see if I can implement anything else that will make the fights more engaging. A lot of the attack animations are stock placeholders in the footage. I hope to replace them all with original animation.

Anyways, I was hoping to have a build of Chapter 1 with the new additions ready for today, but it seems that won't be possible. 

Worry not! It will (probably) be ready by next months Dev Message, so please look forward to it! I'll be sure to add in some extra content to make replaying through chapter 1 worth it.  I gotta get animating.
